The holy, glorious and right-victorious New Hieromartyr and Equal-to-the-Apostles Kosmas Aitolos is one of the most significant personali-ties of the Church of our times. He influenced the faithful in exceptionally many ways. A holy monastery was built at the place of his execution, in the Greek city of Kolkondas, presently part of Albania. He was martyred in the year 1779.
