There are several known to us saints named Theodore. One of the lesser-known Theodores is Saint Theodore the Studite. His role in reversing the spiritual plague of Iconoclasm was of paramount importance. His braveness made a difference in a time when emperors and hierarchs had lost their moral and dogmatic compass.

We decided to include his life in the "Paterikon for Kids" series, as we consider his intercessions to have been instrumental in taking away inexplicable pains in the abdomen.
