One of the greatest female saints, St. Nina (Nino) preached the Christian faith in the ancient kingdom of Iberia (modern-day Georgia), and converted both the queen and the king as they were both healed from illness. Because of her labors, Georgia became an Orthodox nation. She is the patron saint of Georgia and has the title of Equal to the Apostles. Includes a service to the saint.

Nice and enlightening story. I'm busy reading about all of the lives of female saints from the early church as well as history, some where Deaconess, missionaries, Abbesses and founders of great monasteries such as St Hilda and St Brigid of Ireland. This small book compliments my collection. A must read for today's society or anyone who thinks that the church is only bent on societal beliefs and norms instead of Christ and the spirit.
