Elder Symeon is a tremendous writer and I enjoy every single of his works and homilies. He has a knack for reaching the heart of modern man by using language, ideas, and modern medicine to better understand the faith and its healing teachings. He doesn’t try to replace the writings of the Holy Fathers with modern works, but uses it in such a way that we can grow deeper in the faith, but at the same time appreciate the appropriate place that modern medicine has in our lives. He uses modern medicine as a stepping stone into the ever deep waters of the Orthodox Faith.
Very positive. Five Stars. Archimandrite Symeon's homilies are both theologically rich and profoundly applicable to modern life. He pulls no punches describing the lack of repentance in the lives of most Orthodox Christians, and calls us to to a deeper introspection of our lack-luster efforts to live out our faith. May the Memory of Archimandrite Symeon be Eternal!
