Diptych icons have long been used to facilitate prayer and mediation while traveling or otherwise away from one's usual place of prayer. This diptych of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Mother of God comes in two varieties, one in which their garments are red and blue and one in which their garments are silver. It is also bound in a soft case with an icon of the Cross on the front.
