Jeweled pectoral crosses are worn by bishops, archimandrites and protopriests as a mark of their office, and may be awarded to other priests for distinguished service to the church. The front side of this jeweled cross features a wooden bas-relief icon of the crucifixion of Christ with a metallic border and a decorated metallic miter above. The reverse side features a bas-relief of the Theotokos in the Hodigitria style.
