The Liturgical Spear is a sacred ecclesiastical instrument that is placed on the Table of Oblation along with other sacred instruments such as the chalice, disks, and spoon. It is used in the Liturgy of Preparation or Proskomidea to cut the bread for the Eucharist before the Divine Liturgy.
