In this book is an abridged account of the life of a contemporary Father of the Church, who lived the precision of the Gospel and was persecuted for his love of Christ.

His teaching has been the continuation of the teaching of the past Holy Fathers, which -in defiance of the times- still survives and will continue to survive, through to the end of History, from within the people who became vessels of the Holy Spirit by upholding the Gospel’s tenets.

The hundreds of contemporary Saints, one of whom is Saint Justin, have proven with their lives that the message of Orthodoxy is always timely and has never ceased to produce Saints.

Even during his extensive confinement within a Serbian monastery, Saint Justin’s voice had particularly reached far beyond the borders of his homeland, making him also a teacher of nations. That is why it is my particular joy that the present book on his life experiences has been translated into English: because its contents will be made known to people who did not have the joy of becoming acquainted with him until now. It is my wish that this biography will trigger the reader’s interest to delve deep into the soul-benefiting writings by the very hand of the Saint, which will be appreciated as “pure spring water”, in an age that is flooded by a plethora of polluted “spiritual waters”.
